Rewrite, Refresh

Alnora on Canbuncle is gone. Alnora is now Alnora on Kujata. Alnora is also a Mithra. I swore I would stay as far away as I could from Mithra because they’re kawaii neko-chans, but I wanted a race from Windurst and other than the MP, Tarutaru are kind of eh for a red mage. I’m still a red mage (red mages and dragoons being my favorites from the series, btw), but now I’m a cat.

I fucking hated Bastok and honestly can’t understand how people like it as a home… town? Capital? Let’s just leave it as home. No sooner had I created my new mage, I ran into a high level red mage who asked me to join his linkshell and gave me 4,000 gil. With that kind of generosity, and still not knowing much about the game, I couldn’t refuse the offer of his help. Once I bought a new weapon and shield with my new found noob gil, he took me out to East Sarutabaruta and helped me level. Up to level 5 right now, I think. I thought he was AFK and left him… then got lost, so our little impromptu party ended. But it did give me time to do something I always wanted to do, back when I originally had the game, but didn’t have the gil for it.

Fishing. Yeah, you heard me. Fishing. I don’t know why. Fishing in WoW really made me appreciate the fine art of angling. I’m still not sure exactly of the perks of joining this guild yet, but I’m hoping it will coincide with my decision to join the Culinary guild. You know… cooking a fish? If you can’t cook up fishes I’ll be mighty pissed.

I suppose I’m getting the hang of it. That is, when I can hook something. I’m not trying to spend too much money on bait, lures and rods yet as earning money will still be hard from here on out and every cent counts, but I did enough to give me a basic idea of the mechanics.

Now my goals are to get to 10 and find something to cook. I will cook something. Eventually. Why can’t you cook the crawlers? Look at them! So fat and juicy, it could, uh, be a meal for a whole Galka family. All 2 of them.
